The latest addition to wireless technology is the introduction of WiFi hotspots. These allow users with compatable hardware to gain internet access at broadband speed. There are thousands of these hotspots throughout Europe located inCafes, bars, airports and other public places and there are a number of hotspots popping up around the UK, from petrol station forecourts to Brighton beach!

The important thing to consider when implementing a wireless network is security. If you can access your network from anywhere in or around your building so can anybody with compatable hardware, so it is important to have correctly configured firewalls and security in place to ensure only traffic you authorise is travelling around your network.
